It was during the royal couple’s trip to Quebec that the Duchess of Cambridge talked to one of her admirers of her desire to have children soon.
While on an official trip to Canada, Kate let out a little info that didn’t go unnoticed.
While outside the City Hall where Prince William had delivered a short speech in French, Kate thanked Raffaela, 2, who had just given her a bouquet. The princess then praised the girl’s father, British expatriate David Cheater, to have a little girl so cute.
“Kate said to me, ‘What a beautiful daughter you have,’” Cheater told reporters “When I said to her I wished her and William well with starting their own family, she said, ‘Yes, I hope to.’”
Although at the time of their engagement, Prince William already expressed the couple’s desire to start a family once married, this is the first time that Kate is publicly speaks about having children.
However, not everybody was excited about the royal couple’s visit. As William and Kate passed through the streets of Old Quebec, about 200 protesters were present, carrying signs in French that translated as “the king is me.”
