William and Kate left for a secret destination on Monday, more than a week after their marriage.

Officials for Prince William pleaded that the couple’s privacy be respected during their stay, refusing to give details, including the length of the honeymoon.

“We are not confirming locations or commenting on any speculation on where they may be going for their private honeymoon, but we can confirm that they have left,” a St. James Palace rep explained in a statement.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had decided to postpone their honeymoon after their wedding on April 29. William, a helicopter pilot in the RAF in Wales, had returned to duty last week.

According to information from the British press, the couple have chosen the Seychelles Islands for their honeymoon.

The Guardian reports the Seychelles tourist office confirmed that the royal couple arrived at the international airport on Mahe Tuesday morning.

Former British colony, the Seychelles are made up of 115 islands, located in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Africa, about 1600 kilometers east coast of Kenya. They have about 90 000 inhabitants.
