A never-before-seen photograph showing Prince William and Kate Middleton after the engagement announcement will appear on the cover of the July edition of Vanity Fair.
In the picture, taken by Mario Testino, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appear after announcing their engagement, and the excitement and happiness caused by the event are visible on their faces.
Peruvian photographer Mario Testino is the one who took the royal couple’s engagement pictures at Palace of St. James last November.
Although in time he had taken photos of Princess Diana, Prince Charles and their two sons, William and Harry, no Testino had never captured Kate Middleton before her engagement to William.
Testino, a close friend of Princess Diana, said that he thought the couple chose him to take the pictures because this was a way for William and Kate to make Diana a part of their story.
“They are a young couple in love,” said the photographer.
The magazine will appear on newsstands June 3, before the royal couple’s trip to Canada and California.
