The site VG247 sheds light on what could be the next Xbox.
According to sources cited by the website, Microsoft has already begun discussing a few aspects regarding the gaming console with some partners.
The firm also internally confirmed that the Xbox 720 won’t come out in 2012, but before the end of 2013 during the Christmas season.
The site’s sources revealed that Microsoft’s console will have four or six processing cores, one for Kinect and one for the operating system.
In addition, the Xbox 720 is said to be powered by two GPUs, with a source stating “It’s like two PCs taped together.”
The machine will also be equipped with a Blu-ray drive as previous reports stated.
Finally, the Xbox 720 would be an anti-piracy measure by being equipped with an always-on Internet connection, via a system modeled on Steam.
