According to recent reports, Microsoft is far from being finished with its Xbox 360: a lighter version, both in size and price, could be released next year, well ahead of a possible Xbox 720.

In a discussion on the site Reddit about Microsoft’s future projects, MS Nerd (an insider cited for previous leaks) suggested some future plans for the Xbox branch.

The device would be a superior version of the Xbox 360 and have a rather affordable price, of around $ 100.

To reduce costs, the manufacturer would include an ARM processor (widely used in mobile devices).

The device will be devoted to arcade type games and multimedia services such as streaming music and videos, since it will be intended as a Kinect-enabled media hub.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is rumored to work on a successor to the console, a hypothetical Xbox 720, which would finally arrive in 2015.
