“Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth gets married over the holiday
“Thor” star Chris Hemsworth and actress Elsa Pataky are now husband and wife.
The 27-year-old Australian got married during the Christmas weekend with his longtime girlfriend, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, best known for her role in “Snakes on a Plane. ”
A source close to the couple told UsMagazine.com that the wedding took place in actor’s native Australia. “They are in love, and have been talking about it for awhile. They’ve only been dating since the spring but he’s been convinced that she is the one since they met,” the source adds.
Hemsworth’s rep confirmed the marriage, but without revealing any details.
The film ‘Thor’ will be in theaters May 6, 2011. It features Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgard and Anthony Hopkins.
Chris Hemsworth will also take the role of a Marvel Comics character in the film “The Avengers” which is set to appear on the big screen in the spring of 2012. Its distribution includes celebrities like Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Ruffalo.
