Francesco Quinn died Friday night near his home in Malibu. He was 48.
The son of legendary actor Anthony Quinn died near his home in Malibu.
According to reports, he died of a heart attack while he was with his son.
A neighbor who tried to revive him told the Malibu Patch: “We were working feverishly at it. But at a certain point it turned, and there was no response.”
Quinn was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Born in Rome in 1963, the son of Anthony Quinn and his second wife Jolanda Addolori, Francesco Quinn chose to embrace the same career as his father. He made his debut in Oliver Stone’s Platoon, before starring in about thirty films, the latest being Transformers 3.
He also appeared in several television series, including The Young and the Restless, 24, ER or JAG.
The star is survived by twins Max and Michael, born from his first union with Julie McCann, and Sofia was born from his marriage to Valentina Castellani.
“Francesco was my soulmate and the best father for Sofia, Michela and Max,” Valentina told the Malibu Patch. “I will love him forever.”
