The three stars are aspiring new horizons in their careers after the end of the saga.

The premiere of the fourth installment of the franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, took place Monday at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

In this fourth movie, Bella marries Edward and becomes pregnant. The plot revolves around the rivalry between the Quileute and the Volturi, who prey on Edward and Bella, because their child is a threat to vampires and werewolves.

Hundreds or even thousands of fans of the Twilight saga gathered for the great world premiere of the penultimate part of Twilight on Wednesday in order to get a glimpse of their favorite stars.

“Lots of milestones are crammed into this one and there’s a very accelerated bit of life lived in this movie,” Kristen Stewart, 21, said.

“I’ll never have anything like that again in any other aspect of moviemaking,” she added. “It’s a very shared love, but to share that with so many people, it is just so unique and it’s so rare.”

Tazlor Lautner, 19, also revealed he was emotional about wrapping up filming.

“We’ve gone through a lot with each other,” he said. “We have a lot of fun making the movies, and it was definitely a bummer when it all finished.”

However, for Robert Pattinson, 25, there is one positive aspect about finishing the saga.

“Putting a bunch of white face make-up on so you notice all the wrinkles you’re getting. After awhile, it’s kind of depressing,” the British actor said. “I’m looking forward to not seeing that anymore.”

Now that the franchise is coming to an end, with part 1 of breaking Down set to be released this Friday, followed by the second part, which is scheduled for 2012, the three stars have started taking on new directions in their careers.

Kristen Stewart starred in The Runaways in 2010 and played a teenage prostitute in Welcome To The Rileys. She will appear in the highly anticipated fantasy movie Snow White and the Huntsman next year.

Her on/off-screen partner Pattinson has appeared alongside Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants and is set to star in upcoming movies Bel Ami and Cosmopolis.

As for Taylor Lautner, the young star took the role of an action hero in Abduction earlier this year and appeared in the adaptation of the young adult sci-fi novel Incarceron.
