Susan Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri ties the knot
Eva Amurri wed former MLS soccer player Kyle Martino in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday.
Susan hosted the wedding along with her former partner Tim Robbins. Despite splitting in 2009 after 21 years together, Sarandon and Robbins, who helped raise Eva, united for the special event.
The ceremony ended a week of celebrations, including a scavenger hunt, cocktail party and casual oyster roast and barbeque rehearsal dinner.
Sister Helen Prejean, who inspired the movie Dead Man Walking, starring Sarandon, officiated the ceremony, which was followed by a black-tie celebration of dinner and dancing and guests toasted with Perrier Jouet champagne.
Amurri, whose father is film director Franco Amurri, wore a dress by designer Lela Rose while the groom chose a Brioni tux.
“It’s not a princess dress,” Eva told People recently. “That’s all I’m saying. It’s very me. I felt like it was already hanging in my closet.”
Amurri, 26, and Martino, 30, a former MLS soccer player who is now a soccer commentator, got engaged last December.
