The “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Bootylicious” singers, meaning Beyonce and Shakira have created over the time a unique, glamorous and personal style.
Shakira prefers dresses by Balmain, Carolina Herrera, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Herve Leger, while Beyonce and her mother Tina, launched the House of Deréon in 2005, described as “affordable couture”.
Apparently, the source of inspiration for this clothing line was the singer’s grandmother, Agnes Deréon, a very talented dressmaker who worked only for one private customer – Beyonce.
The clothing line, targeting young women, includes sportswear, casual and denim, but also suits, evening dresses, swimwear, furs, accessories, handbags and footwear.
For spring 2008, the brand was re-launched under a new form, and Solange, Beyonce’s sister, helped to continue the family tradition and launched a new line, more youthful and more contemporary, called Dereon.
Also Beyonce prefers creations signed by Elie Saab, Versace and Roberto Cavalli.
