After being acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez revealed that she would seek psychological treatment.
Her lawyer also revealed that Anthony sought treatment for the trauma of losing her child and her imprisonment.
According to People, Casey has been seeing a grief counselor and she will also soon start sessions with a female psychiatrist.
“She needs serious help,” the source says. “We’ll see what this counseling will do.”
The news come days after her mother Cindy attempted to justify her daughter’s behavior on Dr Phil’s show by claiming she had suffered several seizures between 2006 and 2008, which may be a symptom of a condition that could have led to the lies Casey told at the time.
Casey Anthony is currently in Florida serving a one-year probation for check fraud and has been in hiding since her acquittal.
Recent reports say she has been ordered to pay $97,676.98 for the cost of investigating her daughter’s disappearance and death.
