Charlie O’Donnell from “Wheel of Fortune” died at 78

Great television man Charlie O’Donnell died at 78.

His voice could always be heard on “Wheel of Fortune” for decades.

According to agent Fred Wostbrock, O’Donnell died at his Los Angeles home on Sunday but the reason of his death is unclear.

Charlie O’Donnell started his career as radio DJ in New York and then in television in Philadelphia alongside Dick Clark on “American Bandstand.”

Charlie worked on “Wheel of Fortune”, which also was his signature phrase, from 1975 to 1980 and then from 1988 until he died.
