Eddie Fisher, 82, died after complications from recent hip surgery

Singer Eddie Fisher recently died. He was 82 years old.

Fisher was known as a teen idol in the 1950s and also for his relationship Elizabeth Taylor. According to a family statement, the singer died after complications from recent hip surgery.

“He was loved and will be missed by his four children: Carrie, Todd, Joely, and Tricia Leigh as well as his six grandchildren. He was an extraordinary talent and a true mensch”.

Eddie Fisher begun his career as a nightclub singer and then became known as a teen idol with songs like “Thinking of You” and “Oh! My Pa-Pa.”

Moreover, Coca-Cola signed a contract with Fisher in which they gave him a $1 million to be its national spokesman and sponsored his television show. Fisher had a complicated live: fighting with drug and alcohol addiction, five marriages.

The singer also had an autobiography called “Been There, Done That,” in which he says: “It isn’t the music that people remember most about me. It’s the women.”
