Father beat Michael Jackson in order to be good and not run wild with gangsters

Joe decided to give this interview due to preparation for a second MJ movie that is set to appear next year.

Michael revealed how traumatized he was when even seeing his father: he was scared, sometimes even fainting.

Joe said: “I had to be like that. In those days, so many gangs were out there getting into trouble, going to jail. Most of them are dead now. He didn’t have to worry about that.”

Asked if he had any regrets, he added: “No! They tried to make a big issue when I spanked Michael or some of the kids, ya know?

“Just like they didn’t spank their kids when they did wrong. The media twists everything.”

In interviews made public during his life, MJ said about father’s beatings: “We were terrified of him. Terrified. I don’t think he realized how scared, I mean scared, so scared I would regurgitate.

“Just seeing him, sometimes I would faint and my bodyguards would have to hold me up.

“I hated him… yes, strong hate.”
