The death of Rebecca Zahau, who was found nude and hanging from a balcony at her boyfriend Jonah Shacknai’s mansion, was ruled a suicide, her family says.

ABC

Her death came two days after Jonah’s 6-year-old son, Max, fell from the stairs. He died several days later in hospital.

Zahau, 32, was found naked, hanging by a makeshift noose in pharmaceutical tycoon Johah Shacknai’s mansion in Coronado, Calif., on July 13, with her hands and feet bound.

Zahau’s family has hired a lawyer and plan to prove that the cause of death was homicide.

“We her family and friends do not believe it’s a suicide. There are still unanswered questions,” Rebecca’s sister, Mary Zahau-Loehner, said. “It is very suspicious and we would like the police to look further into her case. We want justice and are here to represent our sister and daughter.”
