2012 Grammy Awards: Kanye West and Adele dominate nominations

The 2012 Grammy Awards will reward artists who have made the music of 2011.

Adele and Kanye West are among the favorites of this 54th edition.

With seven nominations, Kanye West is leading the nominees. The rapper is nominated in four categories for his solo work including Song of the Year for All Of The Lights feat. Rihanna, Kid Cudi and Fergie, and three other for his album with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne.

Adele, Bruno Mars and Foo Fighters follow with six nominations each, including the categories of Song and Album of the Year for the first two.

Lil Wayne and Skrillex are in turn named in five categories, while Nicki Minaj, Mumford & Sons, Radiohead, Rihanna and Bon Iver are mentioned four times.

The Grammy ceremony will be held on February 12, 2012 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS.
