While she has been elected most beautiful woman in the world by People magazine, the diva took the opportunity to come back to the wild rumors that questioned her pregnancy after the famous video which suggested that the star was wearing a prosthetic bump.
Beyoncé, the mother of the little Ivy Blue, born on January 7, had to endure the comments and criticism coming from people who thought she had a “fake pregnancy”.
“That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy,” the 30-year-old star told People. “[I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’”
“It was a fabric that folded — does fabric not fold? Oh my gosh, so stupid,” she said, referring to the allegations claiming she was wearing a prosthetic bump.
However, Beyoncé was not the only one who suffered from the backlash as her own mother, Tina Knowles, was affected by the rumors too.
“I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months,” she said. ”As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.”
Luckily the singer could count on the support of her fans: “There was so much love and well wishes from all over the world — it made it easier to deal with the stupid rumors.”
