Billy Joel is doing “extremely well” after surgery
Last week, Billy Joel has undergone a double hip replacement to cure a congenital disease, but everything went very well.
Billy Joel is going very well since his hip replacement last week. His publicist, Claire Mercuri, said: “Billy Joel is doing extremely well following bilateral hip replacement and will be back at his Long Island (New York) home by the end of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.”
Last week the 61-year-old singer released “Billy Joel: The Hits” last week to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his first solo album.
It is not known when Joel, who went on a tour at the beginning of the year and recently promoted the documentary film “The Last Play”, will be back on stage.
