Blues singer Etta James suffers from leukemia
According to reports, the great American Blues singer Etta James (“At Last”, “I Just Want To Make Love To You “) has been diagnosed with dementia and is undergoing treatment for leukaemia.

Her illness was revealed when the singer’s husband, Artis Mills, filed documents in court, seeking control of her finances. He claims the 72-year-old singer has become too sick to manage her own money.
Also, a doctor said Etta needs help with eating, dressing and cannot sign her own name.
Etta’s son, Donto, has meanwhile requested that there be a third person outside the family, who manages his mother’s money. Her fortune is estimated at more than $1 million.
Her son wants to “to avoid present and future family conflict and discrepancies”.
The court should make its decision Friday.
