Although we reported recently that singer Céline Dion was not decided on how to name her new twin boys, the singer announced the names.

People, say Hi to Eddy and Nelson!

”Eddy” comes from Eddy Marnay, Céline’s first five records producer.

Her rep said: “He was like a father to her. Eddy is a major influence in both Céline and René’s lives.”

”Nelson” comes from the great man Nelson Mandela.

“René said that in just the few minutes they were able to spend with him, they were impressed by the human being he is,” says the rep.

According to Dion’s rep, “Céline and René want their children to be inspired by their names, because they were so inspired by these men.”

The report on Céline Dion’s baby names was reported initially by Canada’s TVA.
