Cher still confused after daughter gender-reassignment surgery

It seems that singer Cher is not used to fact that Chastity is no longer her daughter but in fact her son Chaz Bono.

In an interview for Vanity Fair, she speaks about how hard it is for her to accept that her daughter had a gender-reassignment surgery in 2009.

She said: “If I woke up tomorrow in a guy’s body, I would just kick and scream and cry and f******g rob a bank, because I cannot see myself as anything but who I am — a girl. I would not take it as well as Chaz has. I couldn’t imagine it.”

The singer even makes confusion when talking about it.

“Well, she’s a very smart girl — boy! This is where I get into trouble. My pronouns are f****d. I still don’t remember to call her ‘him,’” she admits.

Back in June Cher showed her support for Chaz revealing that she respects “the courage it takes to go through this transition in the glare of public scrutiny, and although I may not understand, I will strive to be understanding.”
