Christina Aguilera explains reasons for divorce: “It became unhealthy!”

In an interview with People, Christina Aguilera talks about the reasons for the failure of her marriage, which lasted for five years:

“Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me, I knew I had to end it. I really didn’t want to hurt Jordan, and I felt torn about splitting our family up.”

“When you’re unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer,” said the singer, whose own parents divorced when she was 7. “That’s the last thing I wanted for my son.”

In addition, it seems that the Burlesque star wasted no time as she is already in love with another man, Matt Rutler.

“He’s the kind of person you could spend hours with on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it’s daylight,” she says.
