Christina Aguilera is having a better day today.

NBC announced that the singer will be the third judge on NBC’s singing competition show “The Voice.”

Aguilera joins Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine of Maroon 5 in judging and coaching the contestants.

“I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it,” Aguilera said in a statement. “To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.”

This seems to be a promising new start for Christina, who has been experiencing a series of public run-downs.

Last month she flubbed the lines to the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and on March 1, Aguilera and boyfriend Matthew Rutland were arrested, he for DUI and she for public intoxication.
