Conrad Murray’s lawyers say no to Michael Jackson’s autopsy photos going public

Dr Conrad Murray’s lawyers have asked that the gruesome autopsy shots of the singer not be presented in trial, as they could prejudice the jury.

“These photographs are graphic, gruesome and highly prejudicial,” said lawyers Ed Chernoff and Nareg Gourjian on Murray.

In a request to the judge, they believe that “admission of these photographs to the jurors will jeopardize Dr. Murray’s right to a fair trial because of the significant risk that the jury will base their decision not on the evidence presented, but on emotional grounds which play no part in a criminal action,” reports AFP.

Chernoff and Gourjian argue that the experts called to the bar will be able to describe the autopsy in detail, without the need to present the photos.
