Country couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert tied the knot in Texas on Saturday.
“I’m excited to get married,” Lambert, 27, told The Associated Press in a recent interview. “It’s been a year almost that we’ve been engaged. So I’m just sort of ready for it to get here.”
Lambert, 27, and Shelton, 34, have been dating since 2006. They exchanged vows at the Don Strange Ranch in Texas in the presence of 550 friends and family members, including country stars Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Charles Kelly and the Bellamy Brothers.
Lambert told Us magazine after the ceremony: “I’m married to my best friend! Looking forward to a lifetime of laughter.”
“We’re a really normal couple. … but it’s so great to have success together,” she said.
“I wanted to be married to Miranda the day I proposed. Finally, it’s official!” her husband added.
According to reports, Miranda walked down the aisle wearing her mother’s wedding dress.
This is the first marriage for Lambert while Shelton was married to Kaynette Williams between 2003 and 2006.
