Demi Lovato reaches financial agreement with punched dancer
TMZ reports that Demi Lovato and Alex Welch, the backup dancer she had punched before deciding to check herself into rehab, have reached a financial settlement.
Welch’s lawyer, Donald Karpel, confirmed to TMZ, “The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely.”
The settlement was for an undisclosed amount of money.
Alex Welch is a backup dancer on the Jonas Brothers Tour. As we have previously reported, the Disney star punched Alex Welch while they were both about to take the group’s private jet from Bogota, Colombia.
The dancer reportedly had to receive medical assistance immediately after the incident. Demi Lovato was removed from the plane and later checked herself into rehab for “emotional and physical issues.
