Eddie Murphy denies Toni Braxton dating rumors
The actor claims they are just friends.
Recent rumors have claimed that the two are in a relationship.
A source told Us Weekly that Eddie and Toni “are seeing each other and very into it” and that the romance started up four months ago.
“Their kids have met and everything, it’s getting serious,” the insider added.
However, the funnyman denied the romance rumors, telling Access Hollywood that they are “just friends.”
“I don’t even know who the new love is. I know I’m single and I’m just up at the house, playing the guitar and being a single dad,” Murphy said.
“Toni and I are just friends . . . I went to her show, and we’re friends and she’s a very, very sweet girl, but we’re just friends,” he claimed.
The 50-year-old comedian was married to Nicole Mitchell for 12 years. He dated former Spice Girl Melanie Brown from 2006 to 2007, and had a short romance with Tracey Edmonds in 2008.
For her part, Toni, 44, split from musician Keri Lewis in 2009 after an 8-year marriage. The two had two children together.
