Ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton gives birth to baby boy Tate

The British singer, who is engaged to her longtime partner Jade Jones, revealed by a post on Twitter that she has again become a mother.

“Our beautiful son Tate has arrived safe and sound! We are all so happy and excited. Thanks and love to you all. Xx,” she wrote.

Emma Bunton recently said that the experience of motherhood brought her close to the other members of the Spice Girls group – Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell.

She said: “Because we’re all so busy we don’t get to see as much of each other as we’d like but when something like this happens the bond we have shines through. It’s like a sisterly relationship and that will always be there.”

Emma Bunton, 35, announced in January that she was engaged to her boyfriend Jade Jones, with whom she has been in a relationship for over 11 years.

Her rocker fiancé, 31, is a singer in the band CherryBlackStone, and currently works as a chef. The two have a three-year-old son, whose name is Beau.

Recently, the British press announced that the members of Spice Girls intend to meet and shoot a feature film biopic, as well as sing at the official opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London in 2012.
