Justin Bieber says he is disappointed for not grabbing any Grammy Award on February 13. The pop sensation had been hopeful of returning at least with the Best New Artist award.
Justin Bieber walked away empty handed from the ceremony. Splading Esperanza, a not so popular artist, stole the show and won the prize he desired.
Bieber was unable to hide his disappointment. Interviewed in turn by the hosts of talk show Chelsea Handler and Conan O’Brian, the 16-year-old had some bitter words.
“Yeah. I’m not going to lie. People were expecting me to say something else, but I’m disappointed,” he told Chelsea Handler.
“I’m really excited for her[Splading Esperanza]. She worked hard,” pop star also admitted.
“It was definitely disappointing,” Bieber told host Conan O’Brien. “It’s great to even be nominated and have that, it’s amazing.
“We’ll get ‘em next year,” he concluded.
Chelsea Handler: “You’re really young and you work all the time. When do you have time to, you know, look at pictures of me?”
Justin Bieber: “I do that all the time. You know, the ones with you and 50 and stuff,”
Chelsea Handler: “Touché, girl.”
Justin can still console himself by saying he has the full support of his fans. Besides, he asks them not to be too angry at his defeat.
However, his fans didn’t follow his advice and in revenge, they sabotaged Esperanza Spalding’s Wikipedia page with insults.
