Grammy Awards 2014: Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Lorde, Katy Perry

The list of Grammy nominees was released Friday, Dec. 6 at a concert in Los Angeles. Jay-Z leads with nine nominations, followed by Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Pharell Williams, all competing in seven categories.

With nine chances at the trophies is rapper Jay-Z. Other artists nominated include the French electro duo Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake or rappers Pharrell Williams and Ryan Lewis & Macklmore.

Female voices that have marked the year 2013 include Katy Perry, nominated for Song of the Year, Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles, Lana Del Rey and newcomer Lorde.

The 56th Grammy Awards show will be held on January 26th in Los Angeles.
