On Friday morning, Jennifer Hudson was hospitalized in New York after an appearance on “Good Morning America.” She suffered from stomach pains due to food poisoning.
Earlier in the day, the 19-year-old seemed fine when she performed a few songs on a stage arranged in Central Park as part of a mini-concert organized by ABC and aired on Good Morning America.
Later that morning Hudson also had to participate in the “Early Show” on CBS. However, her appearance on the show was canceled due to her health problems.
Hudson scheduled the two events to promote her album “I Remember Me.”
The name of the hospital where she was taken was not disclosed. The star has since been released.
Over the past year, Jennifer Hudson has lost over 80 pounds with a weight loss program devised by the company Weight Watchers, for whom she is a spokesperson. She recently signed a contract to publish a book that deals with her phenomenal weight loss.
