Joe Jackson, late King of Pop’s father, believes a conspiracy is to be blamed for his son’s unexpected death in June 2009.

While in Madrid promoting a worldwide tour of the hit Spanish musical “Forever King of Pop,” the patriarch of the Jackson family told Reuters he believed Dr. Conrad Murray was acting on behalf of other people involved in Michael’s career.

He added Michael had warned family he would be killed over the publishing rights of some of his biggest hits.

“I want a federal investigation so they can grab them all,” Joe Jackson said, claiming that Dr. Murray is “just the fall guy.” He declined however to say who else might be to blame in the death of his son.

“I’m not calling names, but they know who they are,” Jackson told Reuters. “Michael knew that something was going to happen to him before it happened.”

During the interview with Reuters, Joe Jackson was also asked about the book, titled “You Are Not Alone: Through a Brother’s Eyes,” Michael’s brother Jermaine intends to release in the fall.

Joe refused to make any comment about Jermaine’s book, saying he was working on his own, in which he would talk about the “hard times” he had raising his family.
