LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s Christmas engagement
At the end of a difficult year for many couples, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have decided to get engaged.
The couple confirmed to People that Eddie popped the question during the holidays and they were both very happy.
According to a source close to the couple, the two “had family and close friends in town who helped them celebrate.”
The couple was spotted on a beach in Malibu with their engagement ring. The 28-year-old singer sported a 5-carat oval diamond set in rose gold fleur-de-lis connected to the band.
“The couple wanted an antique feel, but a new ring,” the source said, adding that Rimes and Cibrian designed the ring together with the actor’s childhood friend Brent Polacheck at Polacheck Jewelers.
On Monday, the singer shared her joy on Twitter: “Eddie [Cibrian] and I got engaged over the holidays. That’s the news. It’s for real this time and the first time EVER!”
Rimes also thanked fans for their support: “Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It’s been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love.”
This will be the second marriage for each: LeAnn Rimes was married to dancer Dean Sheremet and Eddie Cibrian to Brandi Glanville. He has two children with her.
