According to rumors, Madonna may be the star of the halftime show during the next Super Bowl.
Citing unnamed sources, the SB Nation reported Monday that Madonna is the artist invited to perform at the Super Bowl XLVI.
In 2011, the Black Eyed Peas performed during the halftime show of the annual sporting event.
This isn’t the first time Madonna is approached by the NFL to sing at the Super Bowl, the most watched event on American television, with an audience of nearly 100 million viewers. In 2008, she appeared in an ad for Sunsilk, aired during the halftime show.
The NFL championship game will be held Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
