On Monday, celebrated the opening of her first sport club in Mexico and for the occasion, she even offered the audience a gym class.
The name of the sports chain, “Hard Candy”, comes from her eleventh studio album, which topped the charts around the world in 2008.
“It’s a sexy name that gives you the opportunity to have fun and to build strength as far as the imagination will allow,” the singer said.
On this occasion, Madonna was greeted by the mayor of Mexico City, Marcelo Ebrard. Located in an upscale neighborhood of the capital, this new sports complex offers almost 3,200 m2 of facilities.
Forbidden to the press, the gym is decorated with photos of the singer, including a giant poster of her latest album “Celebration”. The cost of the annual subscription is 600 euros.
This club is the first in a long list because investors have already announced the imminent opening of other centers “in Russia, Brazil, Argentina, and throughout Europe and Asia.”
