Marc Anthony confides about divorce from Jennifer Lopez

Anthony says he wasn’t surprised when Lopez filed for divorce on 15 July, putting an end to their seven-year marriage.

“I’ll tell you that it wasn’t something sensationalistic happening,” Anthony, 42, told ABC News.

Their life together was not working but not for reasons of adultery, which in his eyes are just rumors.

Regarding speculation of a relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith, Will Smith’s wife and his co-star in the series Hawthorne , Marc said infidelity was “absolutely not” a reason for their separation.

“It was a realization on both our parts. So you know it wasn’t shocking. These things happen,” he said. “It was a decision that we made jointly.”

Despite leading separate lives, the two stars are currently working for a fashion project for the giant Kohl’s and will continue to co-star in his reality show Q’Viva! The Chosen.

“This is not a funeral. This is not a burial,” Marc adds. “This is just two people who came together and just realized – and so I’m saying that it wasn’t sustainable the way it was, and that’s that.”
