Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon share photos of twins Moroccan and Monroe on their website

As we previously announced, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins, who were born on April 30, were featured in a 20/20 special with Barbara Walters that aired Friday on ABC.

During last night’s episode, host Barbara Walters visited Mariah and Nick in their huge Manhattan apartment. A very special visit, during which the proud parents showed to the world the faces of their twins for the first time.

During the show, Carey opens up about various aspects of her pregnancy and revealed that she took a fertility treatment after suffering a “really tough” miscarriage.

After eight months pregnant, Moroccan and Monroe were born by Caesarean section and Mariah requested that the live version of the song Fantasy be played during delivery so that the babies could hear the applause as they arrive in the world.

And despite being parents for only half a year, the couple discussed their kids’ future with Walters.

While Mariah thinks they respond to music, and even treated them to a song, Nick said he would like them to have important careers, rather than work in entertainment.

For the interview, Moroccan and Monroe, who the couple have nicknamed Roc and Roe, were dressed in smart clothes, with the boy sporting a smart beige suit, while Monroe wore a white dress and a matching bow in her hair.

As for her husband, Mariah teases him: “When he’s nice, he’s the best guy in the world. You know, he’s a man, Barbara. Let’s call it what it is.”

In the end, the singer admits she’s “happy to be in love.”

To satisfy their fans, the two stars have also launched a new website called Dembabies.com where they published pictures of their adorable twins.

“We deliberated for so long about how to reveal the first pictures of our babies to the world,” Mariah and Nick wrote on the website. “We just didn’t want to do the typical thing and display them in a tabloid (not that there’s anything wrong with that).”

“We decided to share this beautiful experience with you in a special intimate portrait of our family.”
They added: “Parenthood is absolutely the most life changing experience we could ever have imagined. The love we feel for these babies is above and beyond anything we’d ever dreamed of.”
