Mariah Carey spends birthday in hospital after experiencing contractions
Mariah Carey, who is expecting twins in April, thought today was the day. The diva spent her birthday in the hospital after experiencing major contractions.
The diva, pregnant with twins (a boy and a girl) felt strong contractions in the night from Saturday to Sunday. While she was more concerned with preparations for her birthday (she was born March 27) with husband Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey had to change plan.
Thinking she was in labor, she went to the hospital. But the singer’s anniversary ended well since she returned home safely.
Mimi was quick to recount her adventures on Twitter. The babies “really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital,” she wrote.
Then, she added, “They almost came on 3/27- happy anniversary in deed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but- wow!!!: )”
The incident gave Nick Cannon an overview of what he will go through when the babies will be born.
“I am probably going to faint in the delivery room! I need to man up! Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest in the whole ordeal! I am in awe of my wife!” he confided on Twitter.
