Michael Jackson’s family files new complaint against Dr. Conrad Murray

The family of the missing singer accuses Conrad Murray of asking a security guard to clean Michael’s room before police arrived. Joe Jackson also claims Murray wrongfully administered the anesthetic propofol and a “polypharmacy” of other drugs to Michael Jackson.

Conrad Murray had previously been accused of mistakenly administering a fatal dose of propofol to Michael Jackson and was charged with involuntary manslaughter.

The lawsuit includes the singer’s mother, Katherine Jackson, and his three children as nominal parties.

On June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson died in Los Angeles only days before he was to begin a series of comeback concerts in London. The administration of two sedatives, propofol and lorazepam, and acute propofol intoxication were the main causes of death. Murray was hired by concert promoters AEG Live to care for Jackson.

The investigation into the death of Michael Jackson was formally completed last January. A preliminary hearing was held in August.

If convicted, Murray faces up to four years in prison for “involuntary homicide.” The hearings will begin next Jan.
