Michael Jackson trial: Dr. Conrad Murray has announced he won’t testify

The singer’s former physician won’t take the stand, TMZ reports.

According to CNN, Judge Michael Pastor seemed surprised by Murray ‘s indecision. On Monday Murray asked the magistrate to grant him more time to consult his lawyers.

“Have you made up your mind?” Pastor asked him.

“My decision is I will not testify in this matter, he said, one day after hinting he was conflicted about whether to take the stand,” the doctor answered.

Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter by administering a strong dose of sedatives. His lawyers hope to convince the jury that Jackson himself administered a fatal dose of Propofol on the day of his death.

The trail ends Thursday with the closing statements.
