Michael Jackson trial: MJ self-injected fatal dose, defense expert claims

A few days before the end of the Conrad Murray manslaughter trial, each party is playing its last cards.

On Friday, the defense’s final witness claimed that Michael Jackson likely helped himself to extra doses of two potent drugs while his personal physician Conrad Murray’s back was turned.

Dr. Paul White questioned the charges brought against Murray . According to the anesthesiologist, there was no evidence on site or in the police reports that Murray had administered Jackson an intravenous drug.

He noted that the dose of 25 mg of propofol administered by Murray was barely sufficient to reduce anxiety and give the patient a state of drowsiness.

“You think it was a self-injection of propofol between 11:30 and 12?” defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan asked.

“In my opinion, yes,” White responded.

The anesthesiologist also said that the scenario of the prosecution’s star witness, Dr. Steven Shafer, is not compatible with Murray’s statements to the police or with the evidence found in the bedroom of the singer after his death, nor with the levels of propofol found in the star’s body.

Michael Jackson’s family has attended trial every day and vehemently denied claims that MJ could have caused his own death.

His sister La Toya Tweeted: “MICHAEL DID NOT KILL HIMSELF!!! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT!!!!!!”
