Miley Cyrus regrets having set a bad example to his fans by smoking salvia.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine for its March issue, singer and actress Miley Cyrus said she regretted having smoked salvia, a legal drug, while the incident was captured on video and broadcast around the web last November.
The star admits she should have thought better and present a better example to her young fans.
“I’m not perfect. I made a mistake. I’m disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans,” Miley said.
The interviewer also asked Cyrus if she felt she had been judged unfairly as a result of the incident, given the fact that most kids her age also consume salvia.
She replied: “But they’re not Miley Cyrus. They’re not role models. So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for.”
As a result of this blunder, the singer’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, said he was disappointed by the attitude of his daughter.
In addition, in a recent survey recently conducted Cyrus found herself atop the list of celebrities with the worst influence for the second consecutive year.
During the interview, Cyrus also particularly mentioned the divorce of her parents. “Of course anyone is going to be upset when there are troubles in their family. But I have a lot of hope in our family and no matter what happens, we’re gonna stay strong,” she said.
The Disney star also addressed rumors about a so-called make-out session with “Victorious” actor Avan Jogia. Miley insists it wasn’t any big deal and the media just exaggerated it: “If you look at the picture, I’m turned away, and he’s kissing me on the cheek. It’s very hilarious to me that people say, ‘They’re making out.’ In making out, there’s a tongue.”
This new photo shoot for Marie Claire is not without a bit of spice. On a picture posted in the magazine’s website, we can see Miley’s left breast half naked.
