Daughter of country singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus had an early passion for the stage. In 2003, at the age of eleven, she won a small role in the series Doc in which her father had the lead role. That same year she appeared in the ending credits of Big Fish by Tim Burton. She also appears in a television program presented by her father. Her stage name Miley comes from the word “smiley”.

Her career really started when she won the title role in Hannah Montana, which was a rating success for Disney Channel (the first episode was watched by 5.4 million viewers). Demi Lovato

It is at the age of 7 that Demi Lovato began playing comedy by getting a regular role on the show “Barney & Friends” where she met Selena Gomez, who later became her best friend. While continuing her musical training, she appeared in 2006 in an episode of the second season of Prison Break with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell.

In 2007, she got the role of Charlotte “Adams in As The Bell Rings”, a mini-series produced by Disney Channel, which appeared for the first time in August 26, 2007. It also contains the song “So Far So Great” which is the generic song for “Sonny With A Chance”.
On March 14, 2010, she did a duet with Joe Jonas, entitled “Make A Wave” for the organization Disney’s Friend For Change.

Recently, Demi was involved in a scandal after she reportedly punched one of her backup dancers. The altercation broke out after Demi found out that Welch had told on her partying during a night off from performing. Immediately after the incident, Lovato checked herself into rehab for “emotional and physical issues.” 

Alex Welch, the backup dancer who was punched in the face by Demi, says she hasn’t gotten any apology from the Disney star so far and she is reportedly seeking to take the matter to court.

Selena Gomez

Selena is a Mexican by her father Ricardo Joel and Italian by her mother Amanda. Her first role was in “Barney & Friends” (Gianna) where she met Demi Lovato. Her parents are divorced, she lives with her mother and stepfather. She was discovered by Disney at a national talent search when she was 12.

In 2006 she was invited to star in the second season of “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” as Gwen.

In 2007 she also appeared in episodes of the second season of “Hannah Montana” where she plays Mikayla, a pop star who is a rival of Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) and had the main role in the movie “Another Cinderella Story”. In late 2007, she joined the series”Wizards of Waverly Place”.

In 2009, she became the youngest official ambassador for UNICEF. Like many Disney stars such as Hilary Duff or Miley Cyrus, she launched her own clothing line called “Dream Out Loud” on October 15, 2009.

On 22 July, her birthday, she signed a contract with the Hollywood Records label. She recorded a song called “Headfirst” in 2008. She participated in the soundtrack of the movie Wizards of Waverly Place, movie. Since September 29, 2009, her first solo album, “Kiss & Tell” is on sale in the U.S. On Friday, August 21, 2009, her song “Falling Down” from the album “Kiss And Tell” is tuned on Radio Disney. The second single from the album is called “Naturally”.

Selena is not pursuing a solo career: she has a band, called Selena Gomez & The Scene and she is the only girl and the leader of the group.

Slena has been linked to pop sensation Justin Bieber, as the two have been spotted on a few snack dates recently. However, Selena denied the rumors, saying the two of them are just friends and that they enjoy each other’s company.

“It was just pancakes! Oh my gosh!” she said in an interview with MTV: “Who doesn’t like pancakes? We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That’s all it is. All innocent.”
