Miley Cyrus will host “Saturday Night Live” in March

NBC television network announced Friday that singer and actress Miley Cyrus will host the March 5 edition of the show “Saturday Night Live.”

This will be the first appearance on the show for the 18-year-old star.

The musical performance will be held by another artist, whose identity will be unveiled by NBC later.

Miley Cyrus has had a rather stressful life in recent months. Last October, her parents, singer Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Laeticia “Tish” Finley, announced they were ending their marriage, which had spanned 17 years.

But it was a viral video in which Miley smokes salvia, a plant with hallucinogenic properties, that caused the biggest controversy.

A few days ago, she told Marie Claire magazine that she had “made a mistake” and that she was disappointed in herself.
