Nick Cannon talks about Mariah Carey’s “over the top” birth of twins

“It’s amazing to see her as a mum and to be so nurturing,” he said. “Her instincts are right on point.”

The 30-year-old TV star described how his wife gave birth in true diva fashion.

“It was definitely over the top,” he said. “I told myself I was the production manager of the whole thing, I was the DJ. I had the camera on one hand. The lighting had to be perfect. My wife was like, ‘you better make sure the lighting is right.’

“But it was amazing because she wanted a certain song to be playing when the babies came out. She wanted Fantasy, from her live performance from Madison Square Gardens . So the babies came out to a round of applause.

“She was like they are coming, let’s go (with the music).”

And since Moroccan and Monroe, now four months, were born on the couple’s wedding anniversary, Nick also revealed that hours after the birth he and Mariah were exchanging vows.

“That’s how much of a diva my wife is – not only did she give birth to twins, hours later she was in a gown, in hair and make up,” he said.
