According to TMZ, David Cassidy pleaded not guilty to his DUI arrest by Florida police early last month. Cassidy’s attorney was in court to submit the plea in writing.

On November 3, a patrol officer pulled him over after he was observed making an erratic lane change in his Mercedes. The TV star was reportedly unsteady on his feet and blew a 0.139 and 0.141 in two Breathalyzer tests. The state’s legal blood alcohol content level is 0.08.

Cassidy was returning from an early-morning funeral, and claimed he had had a hydrocodone pill for back pain, but denied being drunk.

If he is convicted, David risks facing up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 maximum fine.

Yesterday, the Florida Highway Patrol released a video of the actor failing a field sobriety test.
