Paul McCartney and fiancée Nancy Shevell are planning upcoming nuptials

The former Beatle and his fiancée are set to tie the knot in a matter of weeks.

According to In Touch magazine, the lovebirds have officially begun preparations for the wedding.

The pair wants an intimate ceremony in front of close friends and family at Paul’s lavish English estate.

A reception is planned for the couple’s friends in New York.

This will be the third marriage for Paul McCartney, 69. He first married photographer Linda Eastman in 1969 and later model Heather Mills in 2002. Shevell, 51, was previously married to a New York lawyer.

The couple began dating in the summer of 2007.
