Pink confirms pregnancy on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”
Pink has finally confirmed the recent rumors that she is expecting her first child.
The 31-year-old singer revealed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” airing Wednesday that she and husband Carey Hart are expecting their first child.
“I’m eating for two these days,” Pink confirmed to Ellen.
The singer even revealed that the doctor believes it will be a girl, which is something that terrifies her.
“My mom has always wished me a daughter just like me. I’m terrified one of us will go to jail.”
When Ellen asked her why she had waited until now to confirm the big news, Pink responded: “I didn’t want to talk about it because I was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you.”
Pink has also stressed that they wanted the baby and that it’s not an accident.
“I worked for it,” she says. “It was not an ‘oops.’”
Pink and Hart were married in 2006. They had separated in 2008 and later reconciled in 2009. Their relationship is now stronger than ever.
In April, rumors were circulating that Pink is trying to get pregnant, but the singer quickly denied them, in a message on her Twitter page, saying “Off to the gym. Lord knows when this 600-lb baby comes out that I’ve been growing for 8 years, i better be strong and physically prepared!!!”
