Rebecca Black signs with manager thanks to Ryan Seacrest

Rebecca Black, the latest YouTube sensation with her “Friday” music video, has signed with a manager with help from Ryan Seacrest.

According to TMZ, the 13-year-old singer signed with Debra Baum, a music manager who runs an indie New Jersey management company called dB Entertainment.

Seeing how Rebecca and her mom were overwhelmed by the sudden “burst of attention”, Ryan Seacrest decided to arrange a meeting with Debra Baum. And that’s how Rebecca got singed with the production company.

Black’s video for “Friday” was released February 11 and as of March 26 it has been viewed more than 54 million times on YouTube. The single was released on March 14.

It was produced by the ARK Music Factory, but so far Black hasn’t announced any immediate future ties with the record label.
