In an interview with Vogue magazine, Rihanna said she now appreciates her body even if it’s “not perfect “.

The star made the April cover of Vogue, an edition devoted to fitness.

The singer confessed she has started to appreciate her figure recently.

“Over the holidays, and even during filming, I realized that I actually like my body, even if it’s not perfect according to the book,” Rihanna says. “I just feel sexy. For the first time, I don’t want to get rid of the curves. I just want to tone it up.”

The 23-year-old singer plays a role in this summer’s blockbuster Battleship and working out for the part certainly helped.

“My body is comfortable, and it’s not unhealthy, so I’m going to rock with it,” she adds.

Rihanna also confessed her love for styles that come out of the ordinary. At teenage, she was already trying to stand out from other girls.

“When I was 14 and first started going out, I always wanted to be the opposite of everyone else,” the star says.

Today, Rihanna still loves to take risks with clothes that suit her and match her unique style.

“When I am putting looks together, I dare myself to make something work,” she says. “I always look for the most interesting silhouette or something that’s a little off, but I have to figure it out. I have to make it me. I think that’s the thrill in fashion.”
